How can I be saved?

It is vitally important that we know that we are saved. Salvation is the only way to get to heaven. I John 5:13 lets us know that we can be certain that we are saved right now. Here are the steps to getting saved.

  1. Realize that you are a sinner.
    Romans 3:23 tells us, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." All means all! We need to realize that everyone of us has sinned against a holy God Who hates sin.

  2. Realize that there is a way out of sin!
    Romans 6:23 tells us. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Wages are something you earn. Sin brings death, but God has given us a way to escape death! If we accept the free gift from God, we can have eternal life. Death or life - it's your choice!

  3. Realize that Jesus Christ died for our sins
    Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." The penalty for sin is death, but Jesus took our place.

  4. Repent of your sins
    Acts 3:19 tells us, "Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the Lord;" Repent means saying we're sorry for our sins, and to be sorry enought to quit! When we repent of what we have done wrong Jesus will ALWAYS forgive us.

  5. Receive Jesus into your heart
    Revelations 3:20 tells us, "Behold I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with Me." Once we repent of our sins, all we have to do is ask Jesus to come into our heart, and if we believe that He will, He will ALWAYS keep His word.

If you are ready to receive Jesus as your Saviour pray this prayer and mean it from your heart...

 

"Lord Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner. I thank you for dying on the cross on my behalf. I am sorry for my sins, and with your help, I will live my life for You. I ask you to come into my heart right now. I now believe You to be my Saviour. In Jesus name, Amen."
