FINDING YOURPLACE

IN GOD’S

GLOBAL MISSION

Discover your role in God’s redemptive work around the world.

From the opening pages of Scripture to the spread of the gospel across the world today, God has been at work redeeming people from every nation, tribe, and tongue. But where do you fit into that story?

Finding Your Place in God’s Global Mission by Richard G. Hutchison, with David Martinez, is a clear, practical, and biblically grounded guide to help every believer and every local church understand God’s mission—and participate in it more faithfully.

God’s mission is not reserved for a few.

Global mission is not merely a program of the church or the responsibility of a select group of missionaries. It is part of God’s unfolding story of redemption—and every believer has a place in it.

This book helps readers move from general missions awareness to meaningful participation. Whether you are a pastor, missions leader, Sunday school teacher, small group member, or individual believer seeking direction, Finding Your Place in God’s Global Mission will help you think biblically, pray intentionally, and engage more faithfully.

A practical missions resource for the church

Finding Your Place in God’s Global Mission traces the mission of God through Scripture, church history, and the present-day global church. It begins by clarifying foundational missions vocabulary, then moves through the biblical basis for global mission, the spread of Christianity around the world, and practical ways believers and churches can participate today.

Written especially for local churches, this resource is designed to be used for personal reading, Sunday school classes, small groups, missions services, leadership teams, and missions committees.

Each chapter includes discussion questions, making it useful not only as a book to read, but as a curriculum to study together.

This book will help you:

  • Clarify God’s heart for the nations
  • Understand the biblical foundation for global mission
  • See how God is working in the world today
  • Discover your personal role in God’s redemptive plan
  • Strengthen your church’s missions vision
  • Engage more intentionally through prayer, giving, sending, serving, and partnership
  • Move from missions awareness to meaningful participation
